Tequila Lime Turkey Burgers with Grilled Fingerling Potatoes

Last week we were looking for an easy weeknight meal. I decided that turkey burgers and grilled potatoes would be simple enough. We had these burgers earlier this spring and I just never had time to blog about them. The tequlia, lime and jalepeno give this burger just the extra kick we love. For the potatoes I just put some olive oil, kosher salt, ground pepper and italian seasoning on before grilling.

Turkey Burgers

Tequila Lime Turkey Burgers

2 cloves garlic, chopped
½-1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
3-4 tbsp. cilantro
Zest of ½ a lime
1.25 lb ground turkey
1 oz. tequila
Dash of soy sauce
Kosher salt and ground black pepper
½ cup panko bread crumbs

Combine garlic, jalapeno, and cilantro in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse several times, being careful to make sure the vegetables are still chunky.

In a separate bowl combine the vegetable mixture with the ground turkey, lime zest, tequila, soy sauce, salt, pepper and panko. Form the mixture into 4-5 patties.

Spray or oil the grill grates. Grill the burgers for about 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking to brown both sides. Serve on buns with desired condiments.
