After our tour of Lambeau Field we had a short window of time to get to our campground and set up our tent before it got dark. We ended up getting to Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek, Wisconsin with just enough time to set up our tent and start dinner. The next morning we went on a search for a coffee shop, but only found a little breakfast spot without fancy coffee. We ended up at the Hill Top Cafe which was good but pricey.
Next, we went on a ride through the country to see where the winery was and pick up some firewood we had seen along the road. The firewood was a good deal, but ended up being a disaster because there were a million little beetles living it. Which means we ended up with a million of those beetles in our trunk.
Once the bugs were cleaned up we went hiking on the trails in the park. It was a perfect weekend for hiking. The temperatures were in the 60's and the mosquitoes were gone for the season. One of the Door County Lighthouses is located in the park, so we were able to see that on our hike.
We had seen the Stone's Throw Winery on our way to the campground on Thursday night, so we decided to check it out on Friday afternoon. The wine was ok, but disappointing compared to the other wineries we had been to this summer.
Across the road from the winery was a pub that had a Friday Night Fish Fry. Patrick has been saying we needed to go to Fish Fry sometime, so this was a perfect opportunity.
On our way home from the fish fry we stopped at the Drive-In-Movie Theater for a couple movies. Eat, Pray, Love was the favorite for both of us; it made us both want to visit Italy sometime really soon.
