Patrick and I have birthdays just five days apart, so this year we decided to take a trip to celebrate. While on our road trip this summer we decided that we wanted to take a trip to Lambeau Field sometime soon. We already had the days off around our birthdays in September so we decided that we should take a trip to Door County and tour Lambeau Field on our way there. We left early Thursday morning and arrived in Green Bay late afternoon.
Our tour started in the Lambeau Field Atrium and then we went out and saw the statutes of Curly Lambeau and Vince Lombardi.
Then we were able to see the view from one of the suites at Lambeau. Apparently, Lambeau is home to many events other than Green Bay Packer games including numerous weddings throughout the year.
The most memorable part of the tour was when we got to walk out the tunnel on to Lambeau Field just like the players do every Sunday. They even played music for us to walk out to. It was every 12 year old's dream.
After we finished the tour we went through the Packer Hall of Fame. It was much more updated than the Football Hall of Fame we went to on our road trip this summer. It was a really well done and I am sure this is not our last trip there.
And of course they had a little Lambeau Leap exhibit. On the tour they used to let people do there own Lambeau Leap until someone got injured.
