Leinie Lodge

Last weekend I had a wedding in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and Patrick came along to be my assistant. I have heard that it is fun to do the tour of the Leinenkugel Brewery in Chippewa Falls. Luckily they are open on Sunday, so we were able to check it out on our way home. The tour was really interesting, but unfortunately they don't allow photos inside. On the tour we were able to see the whole brewing process. One really cool thing about the brewery is that almost all the ingredients are local. The only thing that comes from a long distance is the hops, since the growing conditions in the Midwest are not ideal.

After the tour you can sample up to five different varieties of the beer. From our tasting we decided our favorite is still Honey Weiss. Since it was now lunch time, our lunch basically consisted of cheese curds and beer. We felt like we were truly experiencing Wisconsin culture with that meal. Here are some photos of our time at the Leinie Lodge.
